皇国英作文

問１）大東亜戦争一周年記念日に北支派遣軍は声明を発して曰く、共産軍より攻略奪取せる地域は昨年日本軍の占領地域の二倍以上である。

問２）大東亜戦争勃発以来既に一年、この間日本は陸に海に空に輝かしい勝利を獲得して来た。これは日本国民の伝統的愛国心と戦線に於ける将兵の旺盛なる戦闘精神の賜物である。

皇国英作文大会！ - 虚構の皇国

　これを英語に訳さなければならないのだが、さてもしんどい問題だ。とりあえず挑戦してみる。

1. On the first anniversary of the Greater East Asia War, the North China Expeditionary Force stated that they have taken from the communist army more than twice as large an area as they had done last year.
2. Since the Greater East Asia War broke out one year ago, Japan has gained glorious victories in the land, sea, and sky, which is owing to the traditional patriotism of the Japanese people and the great fighting spirit of the soldiers in the front.

　こんな感じかなあ。英米と戦争している最中なのに、こんな面倒くさい英作文をやらされていたとは。
